Dance should be for everyone, not just a privileged few. I want to see everyone finding joy in movement and expression through the art of dance regardless of age, body type, and any social or life circumstances.
I believe in guiding students to explore movement. I recognize the importance of technique, but also the nurturing of the student physically, intellectually, and spiritually. I strive to help my students understand how their bodies move using the tools of Evans Technique, utilizing Bartenieff Fundamentals/Laban Movement Analysis and the Alexander Technique. I guide students to move in a healthy, organic, and efficient way, while still exploring the possibilities of human movement.
